Answers and Ingredients
Parfum Sortilège d'Avalon scents are blends of both synthetic fragrance material and plant essences. They are carried in either vegetable oil or perfumer's alcohol.
Except in a few cases including Lavender essential oil, undiluted fragrance materials should not be applied directly to skin. If you tend to be sensitive, please do a patch test before dousing yourself.
Each scent comes to you in a carrier oil. The ratio of carrier to scent material depends on the nature of the fragrance material. Applying "straight" scent material is not appropriate, exept in a few cases, such as Lavender essential oil. We want the scent to be concentrated, we want the scent to be safe. This is a balance that varies for each scent.
When looking for scent that is kind to Sensitive Skin, don't assume that Essential Oils are the only way to go. Some people are sensitive to Essential Oils while others have no trouble. Some people are sensitive to synthetics, while others have no trouble. There is no way to know until you try them. Samples are cool.
Common sense disclaimers - Do not use these scents for any purpose other than intended, which is for use as personal perfume on pulse points. Do not drink them or add them to food. Do not give to children. Do not put them on the dog or other pet.
Do not try to make toiletries with them - if you want soap, lotion, hair conditioner, etc. to match, let us know and if we can make it for you, we will. We can make almost anything, so go ahead and ask!
